Friends for some time so saddened by this news.. John had a deep intellect in many subjects and sharp wit and humour at some of the most opportune and inopportune moments, much to my delight! He did genuinely care and support others at times of tackling his own difficulties; often not quite aware of how he was perceived by others in his eccentricities. RIP
